Peekaboard Terms of Service
Effective date: November 4, 2026
Article 1. Purpose
These terms set out the conditions and procedures for using the Peekaboard apps and related services (the “Service”) provided by Hot Blood (핫블러드, the “Operator”), and the rights and duties of the Operator and users.
Article 2. Definitions
- “Account”: a user account created by signing in with Apple or Google.
- “Space”: a place where several people’s events and to-dos are managed together.
- “Admin”: the person who created a space (the owner) and accounts the owner has given admin rights.
- “Person”: a member shown in a space. An admin can also register someone without an account (for example, a child).
- “Display device”: a TV or tablet connected to a space with a QR code.
- “Kids app”: the separate app “Peekaboard Kids”, where a child sees and checks off their own events and to-dos. It has not been released yet.
Article 3. Effect of and changes to these terms
- These terms take effect when you agree to them on the app’s consent screen after signing in.
- The Operator may change these terms within the limits of applicable law, and will announce changes in the app and on peeka-board.com from 7 days before they take effect (30 days if unfavorable to users).
- If you do not agree to the changed terms, you can delete your account.
Article 4. Accounts
- You must be 14 or older to create an account.
- You may not transfer or lend your account to anyone else.
- You can delete your account at any time in the app under “My account → Delete account”. Deleting it destroys your information as described in the Privacy Policy and cannot be undone.
Article 5. Spaces and members
- Admins can invite other accounts as members with an invite link or code. The invited person becomes a member only after accepting.
- Admins can register, edit and delete people, and connect and disconnect display devices.
- Events and to-dos posted by members are visible to members of the same space and on connected display devices and kids apps. If you post another person’s information, you must have that person’s consent.
- Display devices may be placed in shared areas. The admin decides what the board shows.
Article 6. Children under 14
- Registering a child under 14 as a person or connecting the kids app requires consent from the legal guardian.
- The consenting guardian is responsible for managing that child’s information and can delete it or disconnect at any time.
Article 7. Connecting external calendars
- You may connect only the private address of a calendar you have the right to use.
- The Operator only fetches and shows the connected calendar on a regular schedule and does not change the original calendar.
- Fetching may fail or be delayed because of the original calendar service.
Article 8. Paid services (subscriptions)
The first release has no paid subscriptions, and all features are free to use. Once subscription sales begin, the following applies.
- You can use one display device for free; more devices require a subscription. Products and prices are shown on the app’s subscription screen and in the store.
- Subscriptions are paid through the App Store or Google Play and renew automatically on the same terms unless cancelled before the period ends. A trial turns into a paid subscription when it ends.
- Cancellations and refunds follow the policies and procedures of the store you paid through. After cancelling, you can keep using the service until the end of the period already paid for.
- When prices go up, we will notify you in advance through the store’s procedure and obtain consent where required.
Article 9. Prohibited conduct
You must not:
- use another person’s account, invite code or connection code without permission;
- post another person’s information without their consent;
- damage the Service, burden it with excessive requests, or bypass its security measures;
- post content that violates the law or public order;
- harass or insult other users, or post obscene, violent or hateful content, spam or advertising.
The Operator does not tolerate such content or conduct. You can report people, events and spaces and block other accounts in the app under “Manage → My account → Report & block” or with “Report” on the event screen. The Operator reviews reports within 24 hours and, if there is a violation, removes the content or suspends the account. For other violations, the Operator may restrict use after prior notice (or afterwards, if urgent).
Article 10. Changes to and suspension of the Service
- The Operator may change features to improve the Service.
- The Service may stop temporarily for maintenance, outages, or reasons on the side of external services (Firebase, the stores and so on).
- If the Service ends, we will announce it 30 days in advance and explain how the remaining subscription period is refunded through the store’s procedure.
Article 11. Limitation of liability
- The Operator is not liable for damage caused by natural disasters, reasons attributable to the user, or outages of external services, except in cases of the Operator’s intent or gross negligence.
- The Service is a schedule management tool, and notifications may be late or may not arrive. Please check important events in other ways as well.
- Turning on “keep on” on a TV uses more electricity, and the screen may still turn off depending on the TV’s settings or manufacturer.
Article 12. Disputes
These terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of Korea, and disputes are handled by the court with jurisdiction under the Civil Procedure Act.
